Gallery "Galerie Les Noms" presenting a unique collection of Greek artist Alexandros Kagias working in an authentic manner, combining the basics of traditional and contemporary iconography.

The basis of the collection consists of genre paintings, describing the liturgy and life of the monks of Mount Athos, and the atmosphere of prevailing on the Holy Mountain. Mount Athos - the world's only Orthodox monastic republic with a millennial history. There are 20 monasteries on the Holy Mount Athos today. For the Orthodox of the whole world - it is the main holy places, revered as the earthly destiny of the Virgin. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On Athos allowed only men of any religion, which to visit must obtain special permission - diamonitirion.

Alexandros Kagias is the only artist admitted to Mount Athos to paint live scenes from the life of the monks, often hidden from the eyes of the pilgrims.
